12 April – Lunch at Aunties Home 🏡
We spent a lovely afternoon at Aunts house where the food is always comforting and the love is always generous.
Steamed prawns, soys sauce chicken, stir fried veggies, crispy egg and that soul soothing soup. For me, every dish tasted like our childhood, like care, like home.
A simple meal but our hearts full.♥️🥹✨🙏🏻

The JB kopi lunch tradition lives on ~
Our go to spot for a comforting, tasty and zero fuss meal. The crunchy and buttery kaya toast, kopi O and kopi C, silky soft egg in the dry and soup ban mian and a bowl of soup goodness to complete the spread. Grumpy and I always end up here somehow…because when the food is this steady and shiok, there aint no need to complicate things. Different day and different table yet the same joy. Always worth crossing the border for.

Brought my grumpy to Circuit Road for one of my favourite fish soup in SG dated 14 April. Delicious as always, comforting and flavourful. She even gave her stamp of approval, saying the fish slices were fresh and the whole bowl was pretty enjoyable. High praise coming from the resident picky one. Hehehe. 🥰😹

✨♥️🙏🏻A sacred beginning.
Today grumpy and I placed the ashes of Stitch 🐶 doggie, Hope cat 🐱 and Belle bunny 🐰 into this soil. They were more than pets, they were our beloved family. Each one held a piece of our heart and now, they rest in a space we have covered in prayer, peace, and love. This pot will soon hold two more of my other bunnies as theirs ashes are not kept with me. Until then, we keep this space holy. A sanctuary in the making. A place where love once lived and still grows. From ashes to beauty, from sorrow to grace. In Jesus mighty name, Amen. 🌼

What time is it?
It’s Waffles Time!
We had a dinner date at Creamier last night, each with a scoop of ice cream on waffles: Earl Grey Lavender, Sea Salt Gula Melaka and Yuzu Cheese. I mentioned that my usual favourite, the Earl Grey Lavender felt too sweet this time… and grumpy in her usual cheeky fashion quipped, “That’s because I took all your sweetness away.”
LMAO. Insert massive eye roll here.

Under the shade of a quiet HDB block, I was writing prayers about anointing oil. I was pleasantly surprised a little butterfly chose to rest with me. Butterflies never stay long but this one did. It didn’t flit away, not even when I shifted my bag a little. It didn’t rush away. It lingered. In that stillness I knew heaven was near.
